Recently Kelvin F Long opened the Second Foundations of Interstellar Studies Workshop (FISW-II), after he had organised the first one in New York in 2017 (FISW-I). The event included discussions on space elevators, hyperloop technology, advanced space propulsion, Stanford torus and space habitats, world ships, SETI, warp drive and wormholes. Planning is now under way for the third meeting to take place in 2021.
