Project SunVoyager: A Collection of Images for Concepts of Interstellar Starships

This page contains a collection of images of starships as depicted by different physicists, engineers, artists, film producers and just about anyone that is creative enough to try. The project is named after the awesome Icelandic sculpture by Jon Gunnar Arnason, located in Reykjavik, Iceland, where the scultpure is described as a dreamboat, or an ode to the Sun. The artist had the intention of conveying the promise of undiscovered country, a dream of hope, progress and freedom. Similarly, we hope that the images displayed on this page give great optimism and hope for the future of humanity as it seeks to explore the Cosmos. We also hope that these images convey the configuration, operation and functioning of the different ideas described in the literature.

A message to the artists, we plan to add the appropriate credits to each image but this is a big task so please bare with us. The first challenge is simply to collate them into groups for the use of researchers.
